"My name is Young Paik with The Educe Group. In addition to being a consultant in our firm, I also serve as our organization’s health and wellness program coordinator. In our 10-week healthy activity programs, my colleagues and I record our individual goals for the amount of minutes we’ll exercise each week.
We form teams based on these goals, and then, at the end of each week, we compete to see who met or exceeded – by % - our fitness goals.
Most recently, several of our participants chose to also be a part of the LeanDream program and formed a team. And the impacts were evident throughout. For the LeanDream team, the program results were markedly consistent: even taking into account that they were going to be on an exercise program, individuals on average exceeded their weekly minutes of exercise goal by 121%. Week to week, their team put up noticeably consistent numbers not only as a group but individually. And I can tell you that they were more consistent week-to-week than in prior programs. Additionally, all of my colleagues were extremely happy with Alan’s professionalism and expertise in designing their programs and advising them along the way. It was very clear to me that Alan really cares about everyone in the LeanDream program and their plans for better health and exercise.
As a coordinator, I really appreciated the greater consistency right off the bat for our LeanDream participants, which in any wellness program is often the hardest thing.
